Gilded Roots is a set of fractal VJ loops grown from golden filaments. First of all, every clip starts as a branching root or crown. Because of that, the motion feels organic rather than mechanical. Threads spread outward and fold back. Meanwhile, the same filaments weave into filigree mandalas and rosettes. In addition, sparkling particles drift through the frame as the structure grows.
The palette runs gold, champagne and silver on pure black. As a result, the fine tracery keeps its glow without lifting the background. A few clips cool down to pure silver. Yes, one purchase covers permanent daily playback. So a spa, a dome or an installation can run it for years without a further fee. The same licence also covers your own performances and the projects you deliver to clients. Moreover, it never expires and applies worldwide. However, you may not resell the files or license them on as stock footage.
How do the 4K files reach me after checkout?
Through three routes, right after payment clears. First, the download appears in your account on our site. Second, the same links arrive by email. Finally, we open a Google Drive or MEGA folder on request. Ultra HD at 60 fps makes a heavy archive, so many people prefer that third option.

Why does the DXV version stop at Full HD?
DXV decodes on the graphics card, which is what makes Resolume playback instant. However, a 4K DXV file at 60 fps eats video memory very quickly. Most live rigs output 1080p anyway, or scale up from it. Therefore we ship DXV at Full HD for the show, and Ultra HD ProRes for big walls, domes and post. Both versions hold the same 30 clips.
Does 60 fps really matter for this kind of imagery?
Here it matters more than usual. The artwork is built from very fine filaments, and thin lines are exactly what strobes at lower frame rates. So at 60 fps the tracery drifts smoothly instead of flickering across a large screen. Moreover, you can slow a clip to half speed in post and still land on a clean 30 fps timeline. Every file is a true seamless loop.
