Which tools this VJ software news covers

The ones working VJs actually run. Resolume Arena and Avenue, MadMapper, Modul8, TouchDesigner, VDMX, Notch, plus the smaller utilities that hold a rig together — syphon and NDI tools, MIDI mappers, codec converters. Coverage follows what our customers use, which is not always what is trending.

What a version number actually changes

Every release post answers three questions: does this break your existing projects, does it change your hardware requirements, and is the upgrade worth paying for this cycle. Vendors publish changelogs. Changelogs rarely tell you whether to upgrade before a tour.
